To contribute to the discussion related to FP 7 EAMBES has taken the initiative to launch a
White Paper that highlights the importance of biomedical engineering to contribute to the
objectives of the European Commission to reinforce Europe as a knowledge based society. The White Paper meeting of March 2-3 will update the document in view of the current and
future calls in FP 7. Specific interaction with colleagues from Central and Eastern European
countries is aimed at. The workshop is expected to have a significant impact on the details of
the forthcoming calls.
