We are organizing an exciting multidisciplinary research program ‘Analysis and simulation of human motion’, in Leuven (Belgium) on September 13th – 15th, 2010. This symposium is sponsored by IUTAM (International Union of Theoretical and applied Mechanics). Human motion analysis and simulation relies on an extensive integration of disciplines. Therefore the conference aims to attract a multidisciplinary audience of engineers, human movement scientists and medical doctors. This multidisciplinary character is integrated in the program build-up with a balanced mixture of methodological and more applied research contributions.
The final program with 6 thematic sessions covering aspects ranging from MOTION ANALYSIS, PERSONALIZED MUSCULOSKELETAL MODELING, GRAPHICAL MODELING, SIMULATION AND OUTCOME PREDICTION is now availableat http://www.mech.kuleuven.be/iutam2010/.
We welcome A. Leardini, M. Viceconti, F. Vander Helm , N. Badler, M. Pandy and I. Jonkers as keynote lecturers. Their contribution is augmented by an exciting program of invited lectures by experts in the field: A. Amis, S. Banks, T. Besier, R. Boulic, E. Chadwick, F. De Groote, K. Desloovere, M. de Zee, M. Gfoehler, R. Gill, M. Heller, J. Higginson, L. Kobbelt, T. Komura, B. Koopman, S. Martelli, L. Menegaldo, V. Parenti-Castelli, C. Pelachaud, L. Scheys, S. Shefelbine, F. Taddei, B. Taylor, S. Van Sint Jan.
A social program, including Belgian beers, will assist in providing sufficient distraction to keep the attention focused!
We invite you to participate in the symposium and to contribute your own work to our commented poster session. The ABSTRACT SUBMISSION DEADLINE IS APRIL 1st, 2010.
