3rd International Symposium on “Biomechanics in Vascular Biology and Cardiovascular Diseases"

Biomechanical factors play an important role in the cardiovascular system during vascular growth, adaptation and in vascular diseases. Developments in vascular imaging combined with computational techniques enable us to identify biomechanical parameters that play a role in the pathophysiology of atherosclerosis.
The scientific program of the symposium covers several aspects of vascular biology related to biomechanics, including AAA, the vulnerable plaque, remodellling and angiogenesis, endothelial function and oxidative stress, and stroke. Sessions will feature two internationally renowned scientists, one with technical and the other with biological/clinical expertise.
